It Felt Like A Dream ♥ (part 8)
I haven’t seen Ross for about two weeks. I woke up to hearing my mom from a distance. I dashed downstairs to see if my parents and brothers were actually back.
“MOM! DAD! JACOB! MITCHELL!”, I scream out as I run to hug them.
They greeted us as they brought in their suitcases.
“So what did you guys do while we were gone?”, asked my dad.
“Oh not much, just hung out with friends”, I said nervously not wanting to tell them who I was dating.
I went to my room to get ready and I noticed I got a text from Ross.
The text said:
“Hey beautiful, do you wanna come with me to the recording studio today”
So I got ready even faster. I put on a light green V-neck shirt with a white Aeropostale jacket, my favorite skinny jeans, and white Nikes.
I replied to Ross saying:
“sure! :)”
He replied really fast, he said:
“Ok! Great! Meet me at the park by your house”
So I went downstairs and told my parents I was going to meet a friend by the park. I suddenly thought of Rydel and told Jacob to come with me.
“Ugh! Why do I have to go?!”, he said nearly whining like a little kid.
“Because you just got back and we are going to have some brother and sister quality time!”, I said as loud as I could so my parents could here.
“Ugh. Come on!”, he said.
“please! I’ll explain later!”, I said whispering to him while pulling him out the door.
“Fine! Geez”, he said sounding annoyed.
I slid my phone in my pocket and explained to him why I told him to come. He suddenly got happy to be coming with me. I texted Ross and told him to bring Rydel, he didn’t ask why. So Jacob and I walked all the way to the park and as we got to the park we sat there and waited. I was sitting on the swing when I heard a honk. I see Ross running out. He ran to pick and picked me up by my waist and twirled. It felt like I haven’t seen him in forever. We embraced each other for a while then Rydel then got out of her car and came towards. Rydel was going to say hi to me but then she noticed Jacob. Both Rydel’s and Jacob’s face lit up.
*Jacob’s P.O.V.*
I stood up from the bench. I looked at Lucy hug a guy. I was going to ask who he was but then I saw a gorgeous blonde girl step out of the car. She was wearing tons of bracelets. I got nervous and didn’t know what to do. I hope I don’t sound stupid when I say hi.
“Uhh…Jacob this is Rydel”, Lucy said to us.
“haha, hi”, said Rydel shyly as she put her hair behind her ear.
“Well hello there”, I said with a flirty face.
*Rydel’s P.O.V.*
I saw Lucy’s brother for the first time. He looks even better in person. He was so muscular and tall. I got so nervous and shy I was almost stuttering. I can’t wait to talk to him more. I hope I don’t embarrass myself. I tend to do that a lot around cute guys.
*Lucy’s P.O.V.*
“So umm…why don’t we start heading to the studio”, Ross said awkwardly.
We all got into the car and headed to the recording studio. As soon as we got there Ross grabbed my hand and went inside while Rydel and Jacob just hung out in the lobby. We got inside a room. I had a couple of leather couches, a soft velvet carpet and so many fancy and glass things. As we got in there were already two people inside.
“Aye Matt, what’s up?”, said Ross greeting the guy that was there.
“Yo, Ross! man was good?”, he said doing a handshake thing.
I looked around and noticed a girl there with Matt. She has long light brown hair, dark brown eyes, she is average height and a little bit skinnier than me.
“Hey Alex!”, Ross said as he hugged her.
“Hi Ross”, she said smiling while hugging him back.
I stood in the back with my arms crossed, quiet. Alex. Her name and face looks very familiar.
“This is my girlfriend, Lucy”, he said while gesturing me to come his way. So I did.
“Hello”, I said smiling.
“So what are you guys doing here?”, asked Ross.
“Oh just recording some stuff, we’re about to leave”, Matt said.
So they finished a couple of things and then left. Not to sound stalkish but I couldn’t stop staring at Alex cuz she looked very familiar. Ross and I sat down on the comfortable leather seats.
“So? Do you like to sing?”, Ross suddenly asked.
I got nervous and it suddenly got hot, and my face was turning red. I didn’t know what to say.
“Uhh…well…um..i used to”, I said stuttering.
“Why don’t you sing? I wanna hear you”, he said.
I got even more nervous. I froze up and didn’t know what to say.
“Um…I don’t think so”, I said shyly.
“Why not?”, Ross asked curiously.
“Um…cuz I can’t sing?”, I said making up an excuse.
“Uh-huh. Now what’s the real reason?”, Ross said lifting an eyebrow.
“Ugh. Well I used to sing all the time. I stopped because I didn’t think I was going to accomplish anything while singing, like I wasn’t going anywhere mainly because I am shy. I don’t even sing around my family or best friends. If I do sing with my friends we are just acting goofy and we are all doing it together., but besides that I barely sang. People told me I didn’t have a chance at a singing career and I believed them…”, I said a bit disappointed.
“Aww. Don’t listen to those people. I bet you sing great! Please sing!”, he said begging me to sing.
“Well ok, since it’s only you in here”, I said afterwards looking around the room.
So first I sang “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry but acoustically. Then I sang a more happy and party song. Which was “Call Me Maybe” by Carly Rae Jepsen.
I finished and looked at Ross. His jaw litterly dropped. I laughed at him.
“You were amazing!”, he said with a huge smile.
I smiled and laughed.
“Thanks but you really think so?” i asked.
“Of course! Do you wanna record?!”, Ross asked excitedly.
“Um..i don’t know”, I said getting nervous again.
“Come on! Please? It will give you a chance to prove those people wrong.”, he said begging me again.
I thought about. He was right. I should prove those people wrong especially for crushing my dreams. I accepted.
“Ok!”, I said with a huge grin.
“YES! Great!”, he said excitedly.
I recorded both songs. Then I got out and put on the white beats with the black symbol in the middle and Ross but the one that is the same but the colors are reversed.
“Wow! These Beats are so cool”, i said admiring the the beats.
We listened to the CD and I didn’t sound bad to be honest. Ross put it into a CD. Ross suddenly got an idea.
“I have an idea! We should do a cover on a duet! what should we sing though?”, he said.
“That’s a good idea! Oh! we should sing ‘No Air’ by Jordin Sparks and Chris Brown”, I also shouted.
“Great!”, he said with a huge smile.
He called Rydel to help record while Ross and I are singing in the booth. Rydel and Jacob both came up. Ross and I got into the booth and put on the beats again. We started singing and it sounded amazing.

We finished the song and got out to see how it sounded. We edited it a little bit and put it into the same CD we put the other songs I recorded. We put everything away and put the beats back and got out of the recording studio and headed to Ross’ house here in L.A. he had his regular house back in his hometown.
“So this is my house”, he said escorting Jacob and I inside.
“it’s really nice”, I said looking around.
“yeah this is bigger than my house back in Colorado”, he said.
Rydel and Jacob went to look around. I noticed they were smiling and laughing together a lot. They would be so cute together.
So Ross showed me around his huge house. Then we flopped onto his couch, he put his arm around me and we both put our feet up on the table and he turned on his TV. As soon as he turned it on it was already on the news channel and they showed something I wish the didn’t. Something that could ruin everything.
